With thanks to my fiancé and both her parents our house is almost completely ready for home open this Sunday. All the painting is finished and alot of the fiddly stuff has been done, just leaving me with the front and back gardens to finish and we're all set to try and sell! It's been a long few weeks getting everything done, mostly due to the fact I've never been the most "handy-ist" man around the household over the last 5 years. Fingers crossed we'll be selling quick and moving into a bigger home in no time!
So while the house was being finished and I was on the 12 hour shift at work I decided to try my luck at something. I inquired last week with our phone provider (a network I work for/sell their product) and found out that we had a few weeks until they would let us renew our plans and get new phones. Now bare in mind this is already a generous 4 months before our actual contract is due to end. A bit of cunning wordsmithing and our upgrade department was happy to let us do the upgrades a few weeks early! So for both myself and my fiancé it's goodbye old iPhones (3G & 3GS) and hello brand-new iPhone 4 32gb! The screens & camera are amazing in comparison to our previous models, but sadly haven't had much play time yet.
But wait, there's more! No, no free steak knives, but more greatness! So with all luck seeming to fall on my side I got into work this morning to find two nice little packages laying on the counter, one of my bosses coming by this morning to drop some stock off in the morning and must have picked them up from in front of the roller door for me. There's only two packages I've been expecting to arrive around this time and I immediately got a huge grin on my face.
Behold, my games I ordered from good ol' eBay! Now of the two sellers I'd purchase from I'm only going to give praise and credit to one of them. See the other one advertised that they offer "combined postage" and then went further to state they "combine postage on all SJ Games". Sweet, so I figured I'd buy both my Steve Jackson dice games, Zombie Dice & Cthulhu Dice, from the same seller. Requested total and... what the hell? If you call "combining" postage adding the first item's postage cost to the second item's postage cost then maybe you need to look at how eBay works! No response or contact, I couldn't be bothered messing around so just paid anyways and requested them to review the costs or offer a credit. Still nothing, even now with the games in my hands. Neutral feedback here I come!
| Hooray for games! |
I'm at work so am going to leave them shrink wrapped for now. Gives me something to look forward to when I get home. Though seeing my fiancé is always a nice gift to get home too. Anyways, just sharing my excitement for now, time to get started with what looks to be a great day at work. It is Friday after all... sorry!
Hey there!
ReplyDeleteBeth @ Nerdvana Game here. I am so happy to hear that everything arrived in good condition. I have played a little Vampire RPG back in my college days, but have not tried the card games yet. Let me know what you think!
@Beth
ReplyDeleteHey Beth! Thanks again for the awesome deal! The game is really great! I've ran a review of it on my post just after this one. Played another game of it yesterday with a friend & it's certainly alot of fun!
